When is your child ready to wear contact lenses?

We get asked this question a lot! The answer varies by the person/family, but here are some guidelines to judge whether this summer would be a good time to start:

-Your child is motivated to wear contact lenses.
-You believe your child is responsible enough to care for the lenses, insert/remove them without parental assistance, and to alert you when their supplies are running low.
-Your child understands that he/she will always need a good back-up pair of glasses.
