Please do not let regular checkups lapse and health issues go untreated, they can worsen and lead to other issues later.
We recommend that children receive annual eye exams, starting at the age of one year.
Children’s eye care is one of the specialties in our office. Your child will not only be evaluated for an eyeglasses prescription, but he/she will be checked for other eye conditions that can get in the way of learning and development. Eye turns and accomodative disorders are best caught early, and are often treated with exercises, vision therapy, patching, and sometimes surgery.
Should your child require treatment to help with visual tracking, eye teaming, or convergence, Dr. McMullen provides treatment options for in-home vision therapy.
